BAUKE JAN HAGA : CONTROLEUR VAN BAGAN API API (1915 - 1917)

Writings which consists of eight chapters is recommending things that become the basis for the colonial government's policy in dealing with the fishing industry. Who was B. J. Haga?  Bauke Jan Haga, is a controller who served in Bagan Api Api period 1915 to 1917. Haga was born in Groningen 9 November 1890. enrolled as a student of law and literature at the University of Leiden on 23 September 1909, on February 8, 1913 departing from Amsterdam to Batavia by ship Rembrandt, served as the Director of Civil Service on the east coast of Sumatra July 7, 1913, lived in Bindjei Langkat, then in Siak year 1914, As-inspector adspirant Siantar In 1914, served as Controller of Civil Administration Bagan Api-Api (1915-1917), lived in Bagan Api Api, also served as president Onderafdeelingsbank Bagan Madjoe (1917), as president-treasurer of the Association for the construction and maintenance of a hospital in Bagan Api Api (1917), then obtaining a PhD from the University of Leiden in December 1924 with a dissertation titled en "Indonesische Indische democracy", the book is widely read by the national independence movement leaders, such as Dr.M Hatta. At the end of the Dutch East Indies, Haga served as Governor of Borneo.
